  • Shawn loves getting to pastor Freedom Church. He has been following Jesus for many years. He holds a masters degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from West Coast Seminary. He is the author of four books - 200 Pomegranates and an Audience of One, Wasabi Gospel, In the Stillness and Colors of Hope.

WHAT DOES church
LEADERSHIP
LOOK LIKE?

We are a staff led church! Each of the people on our team are equipped leaders called to ministry. They make decisions throughout the week, plan Sunday experiences, and do ministry.

We have Elders who lead our church through prayer, spiritual advice, council and care. Wayne Creech, Tom Biglin, Ron Gooding are filled with wisdom and are trusted leaders in our church.

Our Trustees are our legal board. They are involved in making decisions with a financial contractual obligations of 80k or more. When we look at projects that involve the land, building, or more they are involved. We look to Jon Kisner, Nick Pascazio , Marshall West, Danielle Thomas, Dennis Brown for wisdom on things that affect the entire church.

Both the Elders and Trustees attend our church while the Overseers attend and lead at other churches. They give an outside perspective and meet with Pastor Shawn regularly.

They include Greg Surratt, Naeem Fazal, Mac Lake as Leadership Development Consultant, and Chip Judd as Licensed Counselor,
