WHAT CURRICULUM
DO YOU USE?
Abeka is an age-appropriate curriculum that takes into consideration the differences in motor skills and cognitive abilities among preschoolers. With Abeka, they’ll experience early success at realistic learning milestones. Our K3 classes focus on correct letter formation & recognition as well forming & recognizing their names and into K4 build on these skills along with learning cvc,vowels/blends, etc. It also turns play time into learning time, laying a strong academic foundation that prepares each child for the next level of their educational journey.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE TO PARENTS?
ABCJesusLovesMe is a comprehensive curriculum with play-based learning activities designed for toddlers and preschoolers that focuses on academics, development, and Bible learning. This curriculum allows students to delve into intentional learning while establishing a solid foundation for kindergarten. With memory verses, bible stories, and songs each child will build their love for Jesus and understanding of the Bible.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Freedom Day School is a part
time program. We are open Monday through Thursday from 9AM-1PM and offer care for children ages 6 months to K4
At Freedom Day School we use the Brightwheel app for each child and family. Each day you will be able to digitally check-in your child into their classroom and also specify who is allowed to pick your child up from school.
This is an all-encompassing app that allows us to communicate to families throughout the day and provides a real-time feed of activities. On this feed you will see snapshots of your children learning and playing, as well as updates on their diaper changes, potty breaks, and meal times. This app also allows families to stay connected to their child's teachers as well as the admin staff through messaging and provides a simple billing experience.
As our FDS preschooler's learning grows through exposure to phonics, numbers, fine arts, poetry, sensory activities, sign language, music, fine & gross motor activities, dramatic play, science & health, and the Bible - our kids become students naturally and gain a strong foundation for the rest of their journey with us at FDS as well as kindergarten and beyond.
You will find each classes weekly lesson plans posted outside their classroom, so that you are able to see what your child is learning and doing each day!
WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING?
YOUR CHILD WILL NEED TO HAVE A PACKED LUNCH, SNACK, REFILLABLE WATER CUP, AND A SPARE SET OF WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHES IN THEIR BAG. K2-K4 WILL ALSO NEED A FULL SIZED BACKPACK AND FOLDER
